The Eastside Transit Corridor Phase 2 project plans to extend the Los Angeles Metro Rail E Line further southeast to connect with the Gateway Cities, continuing from a relocated Atlantic station southeast to a new Lambert station in Whittier. The extension is considered Phase 2, following the Gold Line Eastside Extension, retroactively considered Phase 1, which extended the then-Gold Line from Union Station to the current Atlantic station.
