Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy

The Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is the administrative head of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the national academy for fine and performing arts in Bangladesh. The position is responsible for the overall administration of the academy and the implementation of decisions taken by the Executive Council (Shilpakala Academy Parishad), which is headed by the Minister of Cultural Affairs. The Director General is appointed by the Government of Bangladesh on a contractual basis, typically for a term of one to two years, subject to relinquishing other professional engagements.
