Dean "Deano" Butterworth (born 26 September 1976) is an English musician based in the United States. He was the drummer for Morrissey. He is most well known as the former drummer for Good Charlotte.
He moved to the United States at the age of six and began learning to play the drums at thirteen. He is known to be a good cook and very skilled at preparing elaborate dishes. As the oldest member of the band, he always jokes that he is the father of the other members.
He also recorded in the studio for Lies for the Liars, an album by the post-hardcore band The Used, although he was only in the studio.
