Daniel Roy Carpenter (born November 25, 1985) is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL). He was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2008 after playing college football for the University of Montana.

Carpenter spent his first five seasons playing for the Dolphins, with whom he was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2009. After being released by the Dolphins after the 2012 season, he spent parts of the 2013 preseason with the Arizona Cardinals and the New York Jets, before joining the Buffalo Bills before the start of the regular season. Carpenter spent four more seasons playing with the Bills before being released during the 2017 offseason.
