DNxHR codec

Avid DNxHR, which stands for "Digital Nonlinear Extensible High Resolution", is a lossy mezzanine (post-production) codec engineered for multi-generation compositing with reduced storage and bandwidth requirements. It is not intended as a distribution codec like H.264 or AV1. Avid DnxHR supersedes (completely contains) the older Avid DNxHD codec and was rebranded in 2025 under the unified term "Avid DNx".
