The emerald catfish (Brochis splendens) is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging the family Callichthyidae, the armored catfishes, and the subfamily Corydoradinae, the corys. This species is found in the Amazon Basin in South America. It has traditionally been known as Corydoras splendens. The fish has appeared on a stamp in Brazil.
