Conference of the Left

Not to be confused with Convention of the Left.

The Conference of the Left is a proposed political gathering of left-wing organisations in South Africa. The initiative has been promoted primarily by the South African Communist Party (SACP) and has involved discussions with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and invited other organisations on the left of the country's political spectrum.

It aims to build a cooperation among organisations that share anti-capitalist and transformative economic objectives.
