Claude Henri Guéant (French pronunciation: [klod ɡeɑ̃]; born 17 January 1945) is a French former civil servant and politician of the now-former conservative Union for a Popular Movement (UMP). Appointed secretary-general to President Nicolas Sarkozy on 16 May 2007, he served as Minister of the Interior from 27 February 2011 until 16 May 2012.
