Charles David Cook (February 26, 1935 – May 23, 2001) was an American politician. He served in the New York State legislature for over 25 years, joining the Senate in 1978 where, over his tenure, he was chair of committees on local government, transportation, agriculture, and education, as well as the Commission on Rural Resources. He was appointed by President George H.W. Bush to the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health. New York's rural health agency is named the Charles D. Cook Office of Rural Health in his honor.
