Callimachus /kəˈlɪməkəs/ (Ancient Greek: Καλλίμαχος, romanizedKallímakhos) was the Athenian polemarch at the Battle of Marathon, which took place during 490 BC. According to Herodotus, he was from the Attica deme of Aphidna.
