C.J. Tevlin

C.J. Tevlin (September 9, 1899 to December 2, 1966) was an American film executive and producer, best known for being head of RKO Pictures when it was owned by Howard Hughes. Tevlin had been head of General Service Studios owned by Benedict Bogeaus.

In 1948 Howard Hughes bought RKO and installed Tevlin to help run it. In 1955 Tevlin resigned and he went to work for Hughes Tool Co to advise Hughes on making movies. This agreement was terminated in 1957. The followed year Tevlin sued Hughes for unpaid salary. They settled out of court.

Trevlin went into independent production and make The Bat (1959) but that was his only credit.
