BGF, established in 2011 as the Business Growth Fund, is a leading European mid-market private equity and investment firm that provides growth capital and scaleup support for small and mid-sized businesses in the UK and Ireland. It takes minority, non-controlling shareholdings in investee companies, and is acknowledged as the United Kingdom's most active growth equity investor.
From a network of 15 offices in the UK and Ireland, the company has invested more than £4 billion in more than 600 small and mid-sized companies, and completed more than 200 exits. Around three-quarters of its investments have been in companies based outside London and South East England.
