Buq Aqable (Arabic: بق اقبلي), also spelled Buqda, is a town in the central Hiiran region of Somalia and capital of the Buq Aqable District. It is located 90 km (56 mi) south of Beledweyne and 50 km (31 mi) from Buloburde. It has a population of 50,000 people constantly living in it. The town was established in early 16th century by elders of Gaaljecel by Sheik Aden Esse .... clan and it is the base for the Gaaljecel clan leader (Ugaas).
