Bridgette Renee Shannon (née Blackman) is an African-American chemist who is a research scientist at 3M. Shannon was the first African-American woman to complete a doctoral degree from the chemistry department at the University of Arkansas. She is the current president of the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE).
