Bredbury is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, Greater Manchester, England; it lies 8 miles (12.9 km) south-east of Manchester, 2 miles (3.2 km) east of Stockport and 3 miles (4.8 km) south-west of Hyde. The Bredbury and Woodley built up area (as defined by the Office for National Statistics) had a population of 17,040 at the 2021 census.
Bredbury is on the lower southern slopes of Werneth Low, an outlier of the Pennines; it lies between the valleys of the rivers Tame and Goyt, head-waters of the River Mersey.
