William James Ivey (September 6, 1944 – November 7, 2025) was an American folklorist and author. He was chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) from 1998 to 2001 and chairman of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) from 1981 to 1983 and 1989 to 1991.
