Bessastaðir (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈpɛsːaˌstaːðɪr̥], lit. 'Bessi's Place') is the official residence of the president of Iceland. It is situated in Álftanes (Garðabær Municipality), about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the capital city, Reykjavík.
