Beate Ulbricht (born Ukrainian: Марія Пестунова, romanized: Maria Pestunova; 6 May 1944 – between 27 November and 3 December 1991), also known as Beate Matteoli, was the adopted daughter of the supreme leader of the Communist party that ruled East Germany, Walter Ulbricht and his wife Lotte.
