It was released on November 2, 2004, as the lead single from their fourth full-length studio album, Mmhmm, which was released on the same day. The song was their first entry on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at number 82. It is one of Relient K's most successful songs, along with "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been". The song was certified Gold in the US on October 5, 2005.
