El-Bawiti (Arabic: الباويطي, al-Bāwīṭī, from Coptic: ⲡⲁⲩⲏⲧ, lit. 'assembly, monastery') is a town in the Western desert in Egypt. With 15,978 inhabitants, it is the largest settlement in the Bahariya Oasis.
