Zayadina
The Zayadina (also transliterated Ziyadina or Ziyadneh; singular Zaydani or Zidany), or the Banu Zaydan, were an Arab tribal family based in the Galilee whose members served as local multazims (tax farmers) during the Ottoman period. Their best known sheikh, Daher al-Umar, became the strongman of northern Palestine and surrounding areas through economic monopolies, popular support, and military strength in the mid-18th century.
