Banda Besar (English pronunciation: /ˈbændə bəˈsɑːr/; 'Great Banda', Dutch: Groot-Banda), also known historically as Lonthoir (alternatively spelt Lonthor or Lontor), is the largest of the Banda Islands in Indonesia. It is administered as part of Banda District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province.
