Aurland (Urban East Norwegian: [ˈæ̂ʉrlɑn]) is a municipality in the county of Vestland, Norway. It is located on the south side of the Sognefjorden in the traditional district of Sogn. The administrative center is the village of Aurlandsvangen. Other villages include Bakka, Flåm, Myrdal, Undredal, and Gudvangen.
The 1,467.69-square-kilometre (566.68 sq mi) municipality is the 59th largest by area out of the 357 municipalities in Norway. Aurland Municipality is the 293rd most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 1,836.
