Arnold Morgan Whittall (born 11 November 1935) is a British musicologist who specializes in 20th and 21st-century classical music. In particular, his academic work focuses on the theory and analysis of music, modernism, and musical style and structure in the works of Richard Wagner. He is an Emeritus Professor of Musical Theory and Analysis at King's College London.

Whittall is also a prolific author of non-academic articles on new music. These include record reviews for Gramophone and the Western Mail.
