Alvin Holsey (born 1965) is a retired United States Navy admiral, and a naval aviator, who served as the commander of United States Southern Command from November 2024 to December 2025. He served as military deputy commander of the United States Southern Command from 2023 to 2024. Holsey was commander of the Navy Personnel Command and Deputy Chief of Naval Personnel from 2021 to 2022. His command assignments also include leading Carrier Strike Group 1 from 2018 to 2020, and serving as commanding officer of the U.S. Navy's first hybrid electric propulsion warship, the USS Makin Island (LHD-8) from 2013 to 2014 after acting as its executive officer from February 2012.
