In Greek mythology, Alcyone (or dubiously Halcyone) (/ælˈsaɪəˌni, hælˈsaɪəˌni/; Ancient Greek: Ἀλκυόνη, romanized: Alkyónē) and Ceyx (/ˈsiːɪks/; Ancient Greek: Κήυξ, romanized: Kḗux) were a wife and husband who incurred the wrath of the god Zeus for their romantic hubris.
