Albia is a city in and the county seat of Monroe County, in southern Iowa, United States. The population was 3,721 at the 2020 census.
The city of Albia was a past center for coal mining in southern Iowa, and is now known for its historic square, and collection of Victorian homes. Albia is also renowned for its annual “Restoration Days” celebration, which commemorates the refurbishment of the town square, which commenced in the mid-1960s.
