Alfred Lerner (May 8, 1933 – October 23, 2002) was an American businessman. He was best known as the chair of the board of credit card giant MBNA and the owner of the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL) from 1998-2002. He was also a past president of the Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Clinic as well as a major benefactor.
