Air Commodore Joseph Aidan MacCarthy, OBE GM KSS (19 March 1913 – 11 October 1995) was an Irish medical doctor of the Royal Air Force and a prisoner of war to the Japanese during the Second World War. He survived the atomic bombing of Nagasaki in 1945.
