Ahal Region (Turkmen: Ahal welaýaty, IPA: [ɑˈχɑːɫ βeˌɫɑːjɑˈtɯ]) is one of five provinces of Turkmenistan. It borders Iran and Afghanistan along the Kopet Dag range. Ahal covers an area of 97,160 km2 (37,510 sq mi), and it has a population of 886,845 as of the 2022 census.
