Adeel Hamayun Akhtar (born 18 September 1980) is a British actor. He is known for his role in television drama film Murdered by My Father, for which he won the British Academy Television Award for Best Actor in 2017.
Akhtar is also known for Utopia, Ali & Ava, Showtrial, and Sherwood (2022), for which he received the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actor. He won the Outstanding Supporting Performance at the Children's and Family Emmy Awards for his role in Sweet Tooth in 2023, and he is also known for his role in satirist Chris Morris's debut feature film Four Lions (2010).
