Admiral Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan (1 July 1731 – 4 August 1804) was a Royal Navy officer who served in the Seven Years' War, American War of Independence and French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. He is best known for defeating Batavian Navy at the 1797 Battle of Camperdown, which was one of the most significant naval battles of the French Revolutionary Wars.
