Alkaline phosphatase, tissue-nonspecific isozyme (TNAP) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ALPL gene. Its chemical formula is:C₂₉₁₆H₄₅₈₇O₁₁₁₀N₇₀₇S₁₉P₂.

TNAP catalyses the breakdown of pyrophosphate (an extracellular inhibitor of hydroxyapatite precipitation). It is secreted into the osteoid by osteoblasts to allow bone mineralization to take place.
