Presidential elections are scheduled to be held in France in April 2027, with a second round two weeks later if no candidate secures a majority vote. The elections may be held earlier under exceptional circumstances if the presidency falls vacant before then. The incumbent president, Emmanuel Macron, is not eligible to stand, as the French constitution limits presidents to two consecutive terms.
