The 2025–26 Boston Celtics season is the franchise's 80th season in the National Basketball Association (NBA). This will be the first season under the ownership of Bill Chisholm. For the first time since 2015, the Celtics did not play on Christmas Day amidst the extended absence of Jayson Tatum to rehabilitate his torn Achilles tendon. After missing the first 62 games of the season, Tatum returned on March 6, 2026 against the Dallas Mavericks.
