The 2025–26 Thai League Cup marks the 16th season of Thailand's knockout football competition in its second era. This edition of the League Cup signals the tournament's return to Thai football after a 10-year hiatus. Sponsored by Muang Thai Life Assurance, it is officially known as the Muang Thai Cup (Thai: เมืองไทย คัพ). 80 clubs have been accepted into the competition, which commenced with the first qualification round on 7 October 2025 and will conclude with the final on TBD. Notably, the tournament is open exclusively to clubs from Thai League 1, Thai League 2, and Thai League 3.

The competition structure is as follows: Clubs from Thai League 3 begin their journey in the qualifying rounds, which are organized regionally. As the tournament progresses, clubs from Thai League 2 enter during the play-off round. The first round then sees the entry of clubs from Thai League 1, who await the winners of the previous rounds.

The competition offers a substantial prize, with the champions receiving 5 million baht and the runners-up earning 1 million baht. The League Cup's reintroduction has generated considerable anticipation, reflecting its prestige in Thai football. In addition to domestic silverware, the winner of the final earned qualification for the 2026–27 ASEAN Club Championship, adding further regional significance to the contest. With both teams representing distinct regions and boasting passionate fan bases, the final was a compelling showcase of Thai football's growing stature in Southeast Asia.
