The 24th running of the Brickyard 400, it was contested over 167 laps – extended from 160 laps due to an overtime finish – on the 2.5-mile (4.0-kilometre) speedway, and was the 20th race of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season.
Hendrick Motorsports driver Kasey Kahne took his first Cup Series victory since 2014, and his 18th win overall.
