Five-time defending champion Rafael Nadal defeated Fernando Verdasco in the final, 6–0, 6–1 to win the singles tennis title at the 2010 Monte-Carlo Masters. It was his first title in 11 months, and he did not lose a set en route to the title. This would also be the first leg of Nadal’s “Clay Slam” (winning all three clay court Masters 1000 titles and the French Open title in the same year). Nadal would also extend his win streak to 32 consecutive matches.
