A by-election for the United Kingdom parliamentary constituency of Henley was held on 26 June 2008, triggered by the resignation of incumbent Conservative Party MP Boris Johnson following his election as Mayor of London the previous month. The by-election was won comfortably by the Conservative candidate John Howell, who held the seat with an increased percentage of the vote. The governing Labour Party's vote fell by 11% and they finished fifth, losing their deposit.
