The 2004 Japan Series was the championship series of Nippon Professional Baseball for the 2004 season. The 55th edition of the Series, it was a best-of-seven playoff that matched the Pacific League playoffs winner Seibu Lions against the Central League champion Chunichi Dragons. The series began on October 16 and ended on October 25 with the Lions defeating the Dragons in five games to win their first championship since 1992.
