The 1999 Japan Series was the championship series of Nippon Professional Baseball for the 1999 season. The 50th edition of the Series, it was a best-of-seven playoff that matched the Pacific League champion Fukuoka Daiei Hawks against the Central League champion Chunichi Dragons. The Hawks won the series in five games, giving them their first Japan Series title since 1964.
