Żory ([ˈʐɔrɨ] ⓘ; German: Sohrau, Silesian: Żory, Czech: Žáry, Žárov) is a city in the Silesian Voivodeship in southern Poland with 62,848 inhabitants (2021). It is located in the historic Upper Silesia region about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Katowice.
